On April 22 . . . Celebrate Earth Day In 1970, Gaylord Nelson, a U.S. Senator from Wisconsin, wanted to foster an awareness of the Earths natural beauty. More than 20 million people across the country participated in the inaugural Earth Day. Now, four decades later, this holiday devoted to environmental education is observed by more than a half-billion people in 175 countries.
I only went out for a walk
and finally concluded to stay out
till sundown, for going out,
