**Thank you to everyone who helped us to make Safyre’s Christmas wish come true. Since last Wednesday, we received more than 19,000 submissions for Christmas cards for Safyre. We knew our fans were amazing, compassionate people… but this has been incredible. On your behalf, we hand-selected and signed your names and locations on more than 10,000 individual cards. Additionally, we are printing the rest of the names/locations on oversized cards for her to enjoy. The cards (and some other goodies) are on their way to Safyre and her aunt. Two years ago, little Safyre was the only member of her family to survive a tragic arson. She not only lost her father and three siblings in the fire, but sustained extensive injuries. She has endured dozens of surgeries since the fire, but burns cover 75% of her body and she has since lost both her hand and foot.
Now 8 years old, Safyre lives with her aunt and will undergo yet another surgery in early January. This Christmas, her aunt purchased a card tree that Safyre would love to see filled with holiday greetings.
