Reversible Wrapping Paper Techniques: 'Double Fun’ Style
Reversible gift wrap offers a great choice between using a solid or patterned side of your wrapping paper, but what if you want to show off both sides?
We came up with this cool idea that showcases both sides of the wrapping paper at the same time.
We call it the “Double Fun” technique.
Here’s What You’ll Need:
- A gift box
- Tape
- Double sided tape
- Scissors
- Reversible wrapping paper
You’ll start to wrap the gift like you normally would, but cut the length of the wrapping paper long enough to wrap about two times around your gift. Starting from the bottom, bring your wrapping paper almost all of the way across the bottom of your gift box and attach with tape.
Then like you normally would, bring your wrapping paper across, but when you reach the ½ way point, make a crease in the paper straight down the middle, revealing the patterned side of your paper on exactly half of your gift box.
Run your fingernail down the paper to make a firm crease. Attach with double-sided tape.
Flip it back the other way, making a very similar crease on the other side just to have a clean line, and attach with double-sided tape.
Finish the ends like your normally would…and voila! You have a beautifully wrapped gift that doesn’t take a lot of extra time or skill level, but will give your gift a creative, pretty presentation that doubles the fun for the recipient!
